My coaching and mentoring

The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.

Coaching is a strength-based approach based on positive psychology and a growth mindset. Coaching can help increase awareness, clarity and goal achievement.

I have a built a successful communications career over 25 years and I have 15 years’ experience in leadership and management. I’m passionate about leading creative teams and developing the next generation of leaders.

I’ve had mentors to give support, advice and feedback throughout my career. I started practicing coaching when I completed executive leadership training in 2018. I became a certified organisational coach in 2020.

I work with new, emerging and experienced leaders to build clarity, confidence and capability in their careers. I can help you to develop an authentic, empowered and values-centred approach to leadership to achieve results.

What’s the difference between coaching and mentoring?

Mentoring and coaching are different approaches and determined by where the gold is found – within me or within you.

Mentoring is sharing my gold, the learnings I have gained through experience, successes and making mistakes.

Coaching is helping you to find the gold within yourself. I adopt a growth mindset and ask questions to help you find the answers within yourself.

My coaching experience with Summer was excellent! I had three sessions during which we explored my goals and established a plan. Summer is an attentive listener and employs effective coaching strategies that helped me to set priorities and next steps for my career. I highly recommend her!
